Meeting Cancelled
The meeting set down for Saturday Feb 20th has been cancelled due to track damage caused by the recent heavy and continuing rain.
We apologise for any incovenience as a result of this decision however the safety of our competitors is always our primary concern.
Sizzling action at Gunnedah on Jan 23rd
Another hot day greeted the hardy fans and competitors for the running of the NSW series for Modified Productions and 4 cylinders.
A great field of 4cylinders ranging from a Datsun 1200 and 1800, Sigmas, Corollas, Lasers to late model Hondas put on an entertaining display of tough hard racing. The closeness of the racing was typified in the heats with 6 different winners in Dennis Richardson, Chris Green, Rodney Midolo, Dave Partridge, Sue Healey and Scott Byrdie.
The final was a triumph for the girls with Sue Healey winning from team mates Shane Morris and Mandi Roy.
The number of modified sedans was a little disappointing however it did not detract from the quality of the final. Series leader Kevin Sherwood had the final shot to bits however a flat front tyre ended his night with two laps to go. Wayne Olive was the eventual winner from Brent Croker and Brad Bassett.
Street stocks final was won by Kevin Keeler from Shane Anderson and Darren Cassidy.
Trevor Landrigan won the Benders from Rodney Wiggins and Anthony Rees.
Andrew Smith took out the Juniors from the visting Jacob Roy and Jacob Keynes.
A special mention must go to Anthony Rees and Wayne Tailby for their burnout demonstrations during a grader break. Not even Wayne knew what a tyre smoking monster his Sigma was until he got out there and let it rip. It may just lead to a trip to Summernats next year.
Also a big thank you to our track staff. This is our second meeting following 40 degree+ days. Throw into that the place resembled a lake following 7 inches of rain over Christmas they have done a magnificent job to present a track everyone could race on.

Gunnedah Speedway is located on Bluevale Rd Gunnedah in the north west of NSW.
Bluevale Rd is north west of the town on the road to Narrabri. The turn is approximately 4kms on the right. There will be a Gunnedah Speedway sign on the left hand side and the corner can be identified by the concrete crash barriers. The track is about another 3 kms down Bluevale Road again on the right.
The track is approximately 3 and a half hours from Newcastle, 6 hours from Brisbane and 1 hour from Tamworth.
